I believe that there is no room for pain and disappointment in true love for it is so divine and sacred. True love makes us transcend and expand. When it doesn't happen, it can't be called love.Sometimes we lie to ourselves, we force ourselves to believe in things because it is easier to ignore the signs. It is hard to admit the truth. Sometimes people say they love us. They even might love but not the way we want or dream and again we feel incomplete and betrayed. Love is beyond understanding. It is what makes us alive for we all want love to go on breathing. I hope it might be just a poem. Take care.

Dissapointment.. I have seen that word meaning so many times. I really know how it feels though.
The poem is good.. I liked the moment when you said
I was wrong... Those words just rang a bell in my thoughts. It made me pay more attention to the poem. Though, they are sad.
And it made me realize that you were finally able to see what you couldnt. And In my opinion, as much as it hurts I prefer to know the always truth. :(

    It would only take
    one ounce of bliss
    for me to crush
    any doubt I may
    have had.

I really liked this part, it really shows how a good thing can really make you forget about any doubts you have it was a nice line, I liked how you wrote this poem as well :) The ending was good, i like how you stated how it was easy to lie and eagerly you wanted to believe it. Like that you used eagerly too :) it was a good poem and sad too

Wooow Liz, this is really heartfelt. And true, we can never choose who we love, we are easily allured to the idea of love but once we are stuck in it its really hard to get out.

    Great piece hun.

Liz, this spoke to me fervently.
I love the image of being one step ahead. It just clears the image more.

I'm watching a series about this case of disappointment. The lover lies, manipulates the feelings... just to play on both sides.

    Awesome.

So many know this feeling all too well, the gut wrenching emotion and the feeling of the fool. You should know better, but don't want to, because even a moment of good seems to make it worth it, until you learn what true love really is. This poem brought me back to one relationship in particular that truly molded my future relationships, and I thank God for it, no matter how hurtful it was.

This definitely played on my emotions, very vivid and strong. Beautifully sad write, honest and truthful.

I can say I truly saw myself in this. I think the bigger disappointment is in ourself, for not seeing through the lies. It is so unfortunate that we can't just give in to our love, we have to figure out the others intentions/feelings. Excellent work.
