What I love about this poem is the openness and honesty. The raw emotions can be felt and it is heartbreaking.

I am sorry that you feel this way. I have at times in my life. We wonder why we're the only ones making the effort in our friendships / relationships. We think that because they don't play their part, that they don't care. Sometimes it's true.

You are your best friend. Besides if people don't accept yourself as you are, they are not your friends. I liked your poem. I was a very shy girl. I can relate to your words.

I bother because I know I will find that one person whom I can call a bestfriend. And in order to know who it is, I have to go through all of that.
