Ballet in the wood

by Ole Carsten   Feb 25, 2012

In the small old forest
Nearby the sea
Winter is pulling back
It's withe colors.

Small footsteps
In the wet soil
Tells stories of
Fairies woken from
Winters sleep

I follow them
I hope to see
Enchantment in real
Small beings with wings

Suddenly I heard
Music very low
Floating from an
Old timber log

It was ballet music
un deux un deux un deux, rond
Soulevez, soulevez le rythme
tiny women dancing

They are beautiful
Stardust was swirling
Around all of them
I smiled and looked

I sad for hours listen
Watching their dance
Inside me a joy
Spread like a fulfilling

The small fairies stopped
Dancing bended
I clapped quite
They looked at me

The stardust covered all
Suddenly all was empty
Only a small rhythm left
Water dripping from a tree

I walked home
Peaceful
In love with you
With a wonderful story to tell.
