Apple Tree

by amanda   Mar 15, 2012

Small and frail,
bare and broken,
empty are your limbs
that go clink clink
in the breeze.

No longer usefull
as a nest, a home,
as shade, or protection.

Abandoned,
not needed,
not wanted.

So its funny,
how you still
gaze at the azure sky,
never moving,
until the day
you are forcefully
thrown away.
