An Expression Of Nature

An Expression Of Nature
~
The moon was a luminous golden ball,
and the sky a velvet black lake.
Each star was an eternal, silver light
and their strange magical essence,
held a promise of joy and love;
Hanging about the majesty of that Crippled Mountain.

The Golden fingers of morning inched across the sky,
and the darkness faded into grey,
From behind the hills came the sweet parade of color,
dancing in the air currents.
Singed with the edge of darkness.

The light now growing stronger,
the atmosphere alive.
The glory of the sunrise reflected in my eyes.

The sunlight kissed the dewdrops,
and warmed the cool, dense air,
Nothing holds such wonder, as pictured in the sky.

It's beautiful! The imagery you created, and the metaphors you used were perfect. I love the end and my favorite lines:

    "and their strange magical essence,
held a promise of joy and love;"

And I also love the title :)

    Enjoyed reading it!
