Our Story Told

by TK   Mar 22, 2012

A sea of blankets cascades over our bodies as we sail across the seas from the depths of our sheets. A cocoon of pillows surrounding us from the outside world as we fall further into the comfort of our secret hideaway. You lie by my side, hand in mine, eyes aligned. Your lips brush my nose and I feel a tingle rush down to the very bottom of my toes. You and I have yet again escaped into paradise, with a little bit of luck from the roll of life's dice. As I trace the outline of your body, I feel your skin quiver beneath my touch. Others think this overwhelming emotion could be too much, but no one understands the connection which ties your heart to mine. Sometimes I wonder, Why you? Why me? And one day you told me, "Because I want to see if I can change your mind, change your heart." I could have told you then, you had me from the start. I felt it in the way you held me, from the sensation of your kiss, or maybe it was in the constant caressing of my curls as your cinder lit eyes washed over me as if you were unraveling the world's greatest mystery. I feel you now so close to me, as I recall my fondest memories. Gazing profoundly, searching for keys to unlock the secrets of our souls, all of our stories left untold. I brush my hands against your face slowly stroking the hairs across your chin, and engrossed by all knowing eyes I slip back into your wrapped embrace. As the pace of the opaque night quickens we collapse deeper and deeper into one another's arms, staring silently into the stars listening to only echoes of our beating hearts. Cuddling like spoons, big and little, you and I are constellations among the sky, brought back to life; indulging in constant midnight conversations, filled to brink with inspiration. Two hearts collide in only a few nights, only hours it took, and only seconds to know. My heart is yours and yours is mine, the truth will appear all in due time. My feelings for you, so raw, so vivid, so pure, so true. In every which and way, I absolutely adore you.
