The tree's secrets

by neon sunset   Mar 31, 2012

The trees whisper in my ears
telling me secrets that no one else hears
i can make out the wind's voice now
he sings of the grazing cows and how they silently eat their fill
the stars dance to the music of the birds
in the morning the birds ask the deer if they heard the tree's secrets
he replies with a no , but i knew whom keeps it
i listened to the groaning trees as they told me of their lost loves and greatest fears
if you heard them you,too would have shed drops of tears.
