And If You Try

by Misfit Silentts   Apr 8, 2012

If you kiss me, I'll break down in tears for him. Shedding sorrow from memories of love.
The past, it haunts me, and holds me so tight. Softly singing lost memories of love.
Nothing compares to the looks.
Nothing compares to the smiles.
Nothing compares to how he held me.

If you hug me, I won't know it, and instead will remember how it felt when his arms were around me.
If you love me, I won't return it, and instead wish for one last glimpse of the love he once held for me.
Never will you see me.
Never will you kiss me.
Never will you hold me like he did.

My mind, it ruins me, killing me with each hit of remembrance that I want to forget yet relive every moment of my life.
If you try to help me, I will deny you, and help it destroy me by remembering every laugh and tear and smile that was shared.
Only he can see me.
Only he can kiss me.
Only he can save me like he once did so long ago.
