Woke up with you next to me

by Kitty Kurse   Apr 11, 2012

And as I opened my eyes I saw what seemed like a dream,
Something that couldn't have been reality;
But sure enough you were lying there,
Looking into my eyes and I saw that you were real even your hair.
"I love you baby," I murmured into my sheets,
I had a sudden feeling of warmth and formality.
I feel as if I am awake,
If this is a dream oh for goodness sakes,
Why can't it be real?
But no you looked at me and smiled,
I quickly glanced about the room and realized what I saw wasn't wild;
It wasn't obscene it was real and it was what I had seen.
You started to look see through almost fake,
Was I dreaming or was I awake?
No you could not have just disappeared.
I tilted my head and listened with my ears,
"Jonathan did Dylan stop by?"
"No, go to sleep." That's all he replied.
And so I sat there in a daze and my feelings unknown.
Was what I just saw really a ghost?
I rolled back over shivering in fear;
Sometimes what things appear to be isn't real.
Am I crazy or am I just making this seem like a big deal?
