I must let you go

by Special K   Apr 14, 2012

I take you frail hand in mine.
Squeeze it tightly.
Doctor's say not much longer
will you breath.
Death waits
at the foot of you bed.
I feel her draw near
ready to take you away
from here
From the world were you do
nothing but suffer.
Please do not go!
I cry silently.
Pushing death away
I rest my forhead on yours.
Tears stain my cheeks
as they drop on your own.
Pain is a strong ache
in my chest.
If you leave
my heart will follow.
I love you more than ever
That is why I must let you go.
No matter the pain and suffering
it will caues me.
Goodbye my love
forever will I remember you
with your wondeful smile and
beautiful heart that beats grow fainter
as you slowly slip away from me.
I won't hold you back this time.
I bid you goodbye
for the last time.
Death wraps you
in her embrace.
I watch her take you away
my chest feels hollow
the ache has grown worse
but I'v done the right thing
Now I must live a life without you.
But that's impossible for me.
