Heartless man

by Special K   Apr 16, 2012

Already you words threaten
me tear me apart.
They slice and cut there way
into my heart.
My face becomes wet with tears.
As you reveal your true inner self.
The cruel man who lost
his heart long ago.
I fell in love with you.
At first I thought you loved me back.
Though I knew it was impossible.
I let myself hope and believe.
Now I pay the price.
Maybe if I had never told you
I could breath.
You have knocked the breath out of me.
It was foolish for me to think
that I ever had a chance.
To win the heart
of a heartless man.
For you have no heart to win.
But you've sure lead me
on a merry chase.
Confusing me with your fake smiles.
Making me swoon with your kisses.
Your real smile and laugh now appear.
Watching me suffer in pain with that sly grin
on your face.
It more than my heart can bare.
It can take no more and slowly get's ripped
to pieces.
I should have known
I never had a cold chance in hell
to change the man you've become.
Yet I tried
and now bare the fruits of my useless labor.
