This was an awesome poem for me to read over coffee. Maple you have an undeniable power to capture such emotion within your poems and the most fantastic imagery. I loved this whole piece but this line was esp. powerful for me :

you save me everyday, just by breathing

It is great to have someone like this, whose
very existance can make all of the difference in your life. Never let go of them.
I hope they get to read this poem it was beautiful. I have no nominations left but wont forget you next week.

Well this was an incredibly sweet dedication! The line Liz pointed out was my favorite as well!! I absolutely loved that!!

When we feel like we've been dipped in cement and cant move, its always a great feeling to have someone lift us up and see the angel in you. Great write as always!

This one was a peaceful poem, I liked it a lot.
I mean to say that you were dipped in cement and hence can't move was creative and then followed by that person being there to help you. That was really sweet, and it made me remember someone and the ending was for me stunning. In you, in me, and in us.

Psht, wings are not clipped, not one bit. You ARE an angel, and I'm sure he agrees with me :)

This is absolutely gorgeous poetry. It hit me right in the heart, such a beautiful piece. I can tell this was therapeutic for you, and that usually makes for some intense, emotional poetry... and it did :) Beautiful!

Oh man I love the beginning! I wish it was that easy to find peace...but just lighting a candle. Peace can be found through a person's light as well, people can be our candles. We do have strength to overcome everything, it is just hidden from us sometimes.
