Sin

by Yakari Gabriel   Apr 20, 2012

You always seem to
linger in my thoughts at
midnight hours.
I know what it felt like
when we met, I found you weird,
like your name but there was
just something enchanting in everything
you did,

...that hasn't changed.

I've learned to know
you through uneasy ways
I had to fight my way to you,
and through you, in this battle
for your heart, I've lost
some tears,
I've lost myself too,
but I found that
I was like the weather, so,
even if I had not met you
I would've been changing anyways.

my shoulders have grown along
with my burdens, and my pillows
know your smell better than anyone else..

Humans abstain from
believing in perfection,
they say
its like the end of the rainbow
they've never touched it,
never seen it

but in your presence
I find that,

who ever said perfection
does not exist,
hasn't spend a cold night
lost in the warmth of
watching you sleep

hasn't hold your hand,
hasn't trace the bridge of
your nose with a fingertip
nor felt the softness of your
skin against their chest

you're as beautiful
as a new moon, your oddness
captivates all the things that
thrill my footsteps,
some call this sin,
and I too find it is.

It is indeed sin,
the sweetest type there is.
