My Rose

by Prince Enigma   Jun 27, 2004

For every blade of a grass I have seen,
For every bird that has caught my naked eye,
For every cloud in the sky,
Nothing compares,to a tender rose.
For I am the rose, from my head to my toes.
My petals are the ones I loved,
As I pluck them one by one,
I love her, I love her not,
My rose buds are my friends,
I blow them with my breathe,
Until five are left.
These are my loyal friends.
My stem is my lifeline
For it has two leaves
One is withered and brown,
As I frown from a broken heart.
But one leaf remains alive and well
As I shall love once again,
For I am a rose, from my head to my toes.
