Undesirable Role.

You can say that I am wrong,
but your eyes, sing the saddest song,
your heart beats such silent cries,
which leads your mouth to utter only lies.

The truth spoken aloud is what I seek,
If only it's what you would speak.
A few guesses, I do have in mind,
But the true story I have- yet to find.

Maybe... your heart she took slowly apart,
Maybe ...fate wanted you and her to depart?

I could guess many different things,
or even pick apart each of your wounds and stings.

But, that is not what I truely want to know...
My question is, where in this puzzle does my piece go?

Am I a rebound to you or something more?
Would it be best to just close this door?
When she is on your mind, it's easy to detect
Every thought is written - almost direct.

I put myself in this tight spot,
Maybe I should of had my own little plot.

My mind says no, as my heart is hesitant on- a yes.
I just don't want it all to end in a mess.

I do believe that your heart she still holds possession.
Your actions and some words you speak have me under that impression.

If I choose to walk away, would you pursue me?
Time, and waiting always eventually has a fee.

So I'm taking my steps, and closing the door behind.
To who, would you rather leave your heart assigned?
