What Comes With night(Epic, part 2)

by Lofallenve   May 8, 2012

I had stayed out of his eye sight, within the shadows.
Watching, as he rested his horse in the stables.
He came back out, sure-footed and silent,
as if he were born as shadow and not mortal man.
A word had not been uttered past my lips, a sound not made.
I held as still as the stone walls, as if I were a part of them.
I had not an idea of how he knew, but know he did.
His path led him straight to my stand of shadows,
a smile greeting mine.

He whispered kisses upon my ivory neck,
as his arms naturally found their way to rest around my hips.
I arched my neck back,
easier access for him in that way.
"How had thou known?"
I whispered softly, like a small breeze.
I could feel his lips form a smile, one full of secrets.
"Thou is Moon of my Life.
Has thou noticed how the moon
coruscates even more so
when hiding in the atramentous shadows?
It need not matter how aphotic the night may be,
I could be stumbling blind, but I'd still find thou."

I cupped his handsome face in my hands, lifting,
forcing his eyes to bore into mine, russet and cobalt.
"Is thou sure you are not but part feline?
With eyes, that see into the shadows as such?"
I had cocked my head to the side, curious, at him.
He simply smiled back at me,
his teeth only thing I could see,
in the penetrating darkness that held us close,
our personal blanket.

this part made me gasp lol,

"He whispered kisses upon my ivory neck,

This part is very sensual i loved it:) and the imagery is great.

"as if he were born as (a) shadow and not (a) mortal man."
    ---articles are important
"A word had not been uttered past my lips, a sound not made."

"his teeth (the) only thing I could see,"
So far, I'm liking the story. However, it's not as dark as I imagined. It's more of a love story in the Middle Ages narrated by a modern person reminiscing, perhaps?
