    Good metaphors and word choices...
**corrupted souls consumed by greed,**I like this line and like how you write this thought..I agreed with you, recently, corruption is one of the reason why the government didn't progress...it's all about the greediness and discontentment...
**a hunger for money they relentlessly feed,
a world of thieves speaking nothing but lies**Cleverly written. Great.
**they search for wisdom while becoming a fool,
hoping someone looks down with mercy,**Another favorite line...pride is one of the seven capital sins that hard to overcome.
Over all, I like the way you started your poem and the way you ended it. Very emotional and full of lessons. keep always writing.
Deserve to rate of an excellent rate

To see this world as you do requires the "Eye Ointment" like the Balm of Gilead. It is only God's Holy Spirit that replaces those "Rose Colored" glasses that I and some others had viewed this world with.
Jesus came to destroy the works of the Devil. The word of God says about believers; "We are of God and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. I like your post, it goes along with God's word; "Professing to be wise, they become fools! Keep up the good work! Ken
