True Love

by WritingtheStars   May 23, 2012

What is true love?
Well, I'll tell you,
It's not someone telling you they love you
Just to get in your pants.
No, it's when your partner would put their lives on line to save you,
And you would do the same for them,
When you would do anything to make your lover happy,
That you can make your partner happy
Even when it's at the most saddest times,
When someone is always on your mind,
When you think of that special someone
And smile just to see his face in your mind,
To have butterflies in your stomach
Whenever your even near him,
When you stop and ask yourself
'Would I truly and honestly see myself risking my life or even death for this person?'
And when you answer yes,
You know that it is true love.
It's called sacrifice,
Something true love wouldn't exist without.

I love this its amazing. Its simple and very free and it makes a fantastic point about something a lot of people dont seem to get. I love how clear your voice is and how strong your point of view is. The very last ine is incredible, and the way you start the piece is very gripping. Excellent job.
