We didn't

We could have
No should have
tried a little
But we didn't

We heard about
Those birds falling
down under ground
because they didn't

We knew we would
last a little bit longer
Because we thought we
we were a lot stronger

How could we have
dived in to the sea
When our wings were too broken
To learn to swim

How could we have
Begun this love
With a fight in our heart
All because

We didn't
