In His Yearbook

by Angel   Jun 7, 2012

You helped me to put down my knife,
And I'm so glad you're in my life.

Of all the other guys I've seen,
You're the only one who brought out the real me.

Now I know happiness is not that far,
Because you gave me a reason to quit giving myself scars.

You're one of the people who have made me strong,
Which is hard to do after being in the dark for so long.

My eyes have finally stopped tearing up,
And happiness instead of blood is what has filled my cup.

I'm no longer scared because I know I won't be left in the rain,
And for once in my life there's not too much pain.

When I'm with you my life seems right,
And you brought me back to the light of Christ.

You're one of three who have turned my life around,
Slowly, steadily, without a sound.

You're one of few who saw past my lies,
And you even heard my silent cries.

Then you gave me a verse out of the word,
And for once I understood what I had heard.

My life has now been turned completely around,
And you made a smile out of a frown.

You turned my stormy skies to blue,
Justus you don't know how much I love you.
