Closing doors.

by Jade   Jun 7, 2012

What was never said
and will not be found,
to be forever dead,
remain without a sound.

Too scared to confide,
helpless in every way,
erupts beneath the tide,
swept up to come affray.

Many moments missed,
chances never taken,
soon upon this hazy mist,
stood horrified and shaken.

The wall built between us;
no longer to touch
no more to feel,
I crave you so much,
its getting hard to deal.

Fed up of these love lines,
what stupidity they play,
buried within the heart's mines,
only to recover for you if I may.

Maybe one day, you'll be no more,
to vanish from my eyes,
I'll see the closing door.

    What was never said
    and will not be found,
    to be forever dead,
    remain without a sound.

^^This is an interesting stanza, unspoken words tend to be the most powerful and once they are gone there's nothing left, I feel like you are expressing that, in a sense, here.

    Too scared to confide,
    helpless in every way,
    erupts beneath the tide,
    swept up to come affray.

^^I feel a lot of depth here, I can definitely relate to what you are saying with this stanza. Keeping things locked inside because of fear is one of the hardest things to do, it can cause so much bitterness and even self-hatred in a way. Especially if they never come out, it's hard to move on.

    Many moments missed,
    chances never taken,
    soon upon this hazy mist,
    stood horrified and shaken.

^^I LOVE the wordplay here! Missed and Mist, that's clever, definitely made me smile.

    The wall built between us;
    no longer to touch
    no more to feel,
    I crave you so much,
    its getting hard to deal.

^^ A little critique: There should be an apostrophe in 'its' so..."it's getting hard to deal"

Fed up of these love lines,
    what stupidity they play,
    buried within the heart's mines,
only to recover for you if I may.

^^At first I thought this poem could have been about unrequited love for someone (maybe a close friend) But after reading this stanza, it makes me think it is about a past lover.
I relate to this in a sense, it feels like you were being played and that sucks.

Maybe one day, you'll be no more,
    to vanish from my eyes,
    I'll see the closing door.

^^Still holding on to what use to be? or searching for closure? I don't quite know what you mean with this stanza, but I do like how it ended as well as how you tied the title in with the ending.
