Thief

I'm a thief
Of this gold wedding ring
This beautiful white house
And those young three kids

I stole you
From him
Who stole you
From me

I had you years ago
He came in the night
After I had gone
And took you away
Across the sea
To a place
I could never reach

It took a while
Till I could find your castle
Then I climbed its walls
And snuck into your room
Wrapped you up in my arms
Took the bed sheets too
And we ran off through the dark

He came back to take you away
But possession's 9/10th of the law
And your beautiful diamond ring
Makes you mine

So run away little thief
You couldn't keep what you took
I stole her last
But she stole me first
