Unborn Child

by Siviwe Siretshe   Jun 28, 2012

It's the crack of the dawn
And the morning wind is silent
This marks a newly born day
And the beginning of a new life in the world of sin
A child is born to revive a forgotten life
And to revise a fading history of a once well known family
But family members are pulling in different directions
Their minds have not yet conceived what God has prepared for them

But I give all I possess to you my unborn child
For love is patient and kind
And it keeps no records of wrongs
I am a man but I reasoned like a child
And now I see a poor reflection of me in the mirror
I placed a stumbling-block in the path of my own flesh and blood
But I will welcome you and be a father to you

Like a groom patiently waiting for her bride
Here I am patiently waiting for your arrival
You are the flesh of my flesh and bone of my bones
I will never let you climb a slippery slope
But let the good conquer the evil
And never will I leave your side

My father never told me he loves me
But I promise I'll be there for you when seasons change
We've got to pull our forces together
Imagine me and you having the best of both worlds
My life is incomplete without you
You better stop keeping me in suspense
But complete my life with joy and happiness
For I will never forsake you
