Naive Child

by Siviwe Siretshe   Jul 5, 2012

A cry of an innocent suspect
is like a brawl of lions dying of hunger
With a wrinkled face that went dull
with the weight of irrevocable decisions
Why am I not the chosen one?
For I always bow down with my face to the ground
O' God you are my source of life
If one man sins would you punish the innocent nation?
Please Lord don't lead me to the end of the world
But make me your servant

A cry of an innocent suspect is like an agony of a starving orphan
Suffering from a lack of basic needs
I am strong-willed because I know without a shadow of doubt
that I am dying for my innocence
You are lord my God
Come with me and predict what will happen
so that I may know when it takes place
For I am an innocent child

When I looked up the sky
a sheet of clouds blocked me from seeing your emotions
Just call my name and give me your power
to establish a lasting justice on earth
Open the eyes of the blind private investigators
and set free those who sit in the shadow of crime
For this is a torture of an innocent child

A cry of an innocent child always fall on deaf ears
On the hilltops I stand
But no-one listens to my excellent words
How does one make himself heard?
Everything I say is truth, nothing but an honest truth
And to the man with good judgment everything is crystal clear
But to those who take advantage of the innocent
everything is false and misleading
For this I a cry of an innocent child

I use to stand the test of time
I used to be strong and courageous
But now the man within me is in the eye of a storm
And a man with wicked heart will be blown away
But honest people are always safe and secure
Honesty will always save the life of an innocent child
