It was Fun while it Lasted

Staring out the window of this plane
Jack and coke run through my veins
As I question if it's sane
To think that things will stay the same
Haven't seen you since it happened
When our actions led to passion
And As I'm grasping
What had happened
You just turned your back and acted
Like nothing ever happened
And it hurts
But what's worse
Is that you're lying to yourself
Put you first
Stop thinking of everybody else
What is it that you want that you need that you yearn
If its her I'll respect it
Walk away and let it burn
If its what you really want ill
Make it a lesson learned
But we both know the truth
that right now it's our turn
Stop fearing losing comfort
And realize what's to earn
I'm not saying it will be easy
But godamn for what it's worth
We owe it to ourselves
To give this thing it's rightful birth
A push
A go
Any kind of surge
Ignite the light you see in me
You try so hard to fight
We're too d*mn young
to not realize
that what feels so wrong
Can be so right
