Not Just Our Earth

by Adam Semanchick   Jul 14, 2012

-Adam Semanchick 7/14/12

Departing the safety of my nest,
Trusting my instincts and flying west,
Where am I going? and what will I find?
I don't really care as long as the people are kind.

My nest was perched here high above,
My home sweet home a place that I love,
I cherished this place where I lived for so long,
But alas today I sang my last song.

Man had destroyed the one place I held dear,
Not sure where to go, homeless, I fear,
Me and my babies alone and astray,
Why Did you do it? Why must we pay?
