Moments like these I'll never forget
But then there comes a time, and all I can do is regret.
I was always told to wait
But I couldn't say no when you asked me on a date.

I changed my feelings for you in a direction I never thought would be
I fell for you very strongly
Sitting on a moutain side
Enjoying a hilarious car ride

I wish this night wasn't over
I miss you already, when there's moments like these
I wish I could make time freeze
So we could make it last forever

I wish i knew How you felt about me
So I wouldn't have to try so desperately
So no girl will win your heart..
Knowing her shed tear you apart

Being with me I can't say it will last forever
Or our relationship will never be over
But I know you'll be happy for that time being
All it takes is some good believing

I just have a feeling
That you heart is the only thing that I'll be stealing
Not to throw away but to keep
Because my love you I just that deep.

    Hi Kayla,

    I really enjoyed this poem about new love...the emotions it evokes...there is nothing like it. You do a good job here of letting the reader peer inside to your innermost thoughts, your feelings for this person...so fresh. Greatly enjoyed!

    Two critique comments: I would just clean up the grammar and punctuation as I found it to be distracting

    Also, the last line is weak...I was looking for something powerful, like fireworks going off...maybe you can come up with something that leaves the reader wanting more just by showing the sheer quality and depth of these emotions.

    Good job!!
