Fool's Gold

by Jade   Aug 3, 2012

You lie there thinking what do we do?
Because no matter what my head says; my heart feels true.
You said I understood you better than anyone,
But the next thing I know, you're gone.
I'm left alone with fury and envy,
What did I do to make you despise me?
Carrying on like it was before,
Making me need you so much more.
My heart crumbled to pieces,
Left my life with your very own creases.
These marks you made on my skin,
Will remain for life but never will I win.
It was you that made the wrong decision,
Causing my inner highway collison.
Turned the tables to make you feel as I did,
But nothing phased you to make a bid.
Felt a fool for what I thought was gold,
These marks you made, forever will scold.
