Dreaming or half awaken

by Ole Carsten   Aug 24, 2012

I want to wake up with you beside me
I don't want to wake up if it's just a dream
Life is filled with opposite sides to feel free
Sometimes my dreams are a bit extreme

Thinking of the way I lay
The head placed in your lap
Life and imaginations floats free
How wonderful if I could avoid any gab

Thoughts are filling body and mind
Small pictures emerging the surface
Looking at photos even none is to find
Mature and covered in thin lace

Ideas are free until they are told
Swirling around in my brain
Love is linked and yet bold
I like thinking without any restrain

Dream or cyberspace is the same
Colors are richer now than before
All is melting in love without shame
Longing for the waters cool shore

Nothing is nice than cooling down
In the seas fresh wave together
Laying in the hot sand getting more brown
Sun creaming the skin to avoid to look like leather

I like how there are tinges of sadness and hopelessness in the beginning, love in the middle as good memories are brought back, then hope in the end with a bit of humour there - I'm not sure whether that was intended or not but it made me smile; I wasn't expecting that.

    Just some suggestions. :)

"The head placed in your lap"

    in -- on ?

    "Life and imaginations floats free"

You could make imaginations singular since the verb is plural, or the other way around.

    "Small pictures emerging the surface"

    'From' after emerging?

"I like thinking without any restrain"

    'Restraint' is the noun.

"Nothing is nice than cooling down"

    nice -- nicer

"Laying in the hot sand getting more brown"

    Laying -- lying
    in -- on / upon

    -----------

All is melting in love without shame
Longing for the waters cool shore
