Tonight Upon A Starlight Fleeting

Tonight upon a starlight fleeting
Came to me an angels greeting
An angel came from St Peter's gate
To speak of love ,it's not too late

The angel spoke with a quiet grace
To tell me love has a gentle face
The face of love was of gods design
But I saw love when your eyes met mine

In your eyes I see a painting
Like the greatest work of art
When I see your smile
I feel like I'm fainting
Falling ever deeper
Giving you my heart

    Nice short and sweet poem with great imagery and a lovely message.

    The rhyming was good apart from the last stanza where it was a little off

    would it be worth putting an extra line in to rhyme with heart to help the flow?

    Only my opinion do with it what you like.

    Although the last line needs to stay it is a great ending to this.
