This was an extremely elegant way of describing a rainbow. Typically we hold so many cliches with rainbows, but here you didn't take those meanings, rather just explained the formation. Such creativity.

I absolutely love the use of crystalline. It really is beautiful. Also with silver droplets. Ah. I keep reading this over and over and keep finding more and more I love about it. :)

  • Thanks Britt, glad you liked it. (:

I really like the idea of rain melting away, I'm not sure if I've heard that before. Of course it does melt with the sun but I still can't recall ever seeing it in poetry.

I am fond of the word 'iridescence', nice incorporation into your poem. I like your visual imagery you've created with your words, the silver droplets I was able to picture on leaves and trees all reflecting the colours of the rainbow. Lovely.

What made it all the more interesting for me was the fact I read your profile earlier and saw you're located in Australia like me, so for some reason I linked the imagery to that of Aus!

I love short poems and this was wonderful.

This is one of the shortest poems I have read that I really like. The images created in my mind is so calming and serene, I could see it so vividly in my head. I think this is one of those poems that is worth coming back to.

  • Thank you. (:
