A Soldier's Walk

by Renegade Angel   Sep 15, 2012

Crunching leaves below the gazing sky
A moonlit night, with tears, in spite.

The heartbeat along the paved walk
And his heart groes heavier with each step.

A walk alone, a journey so far from home
His boots can't make it much farther.
The nightsky has so many stars, hopefully her and him are looking at the same moon.
His heart so forlorn, he takes his place alongside the others.

The blood shed, the scarred eyes.
A heart that has felt so much, so fast.
Eyes who seen so much, so fast,
And a mind reeling, and reeling.

He has his loved ones and his country to fight for.
