Well...I find this to be sarcastic humour at it's very best but....I could be wrong?

I know politicians can drag us in with their promises/lovely suits and....oh so expensive aftershave but....I think you took it all in and then went...yeah right!

    His hands were made
    of Italian leather,
    dipped in a hint
    of vintage wine,
    and my toes
    tango in
    unison, with
    the softness
    of his compassion.

This is what made my mind go in this direction....loved...loved the hands made of Italian leather....it actually made me laugh..think it should be *tangoed*?

    He allowed me to
    travel along a pathway
    to hope, and I don't
    mind the dirty streets
    where my purple
    shoes shuffle,
    ^^^

Yeah...they're alway pretty good at that....the improvements you will see if I get your vote will be out of this world....and...they very soon forget about you when your vote has been made.

Could be totally worng, of course, but....It's my interpretation haha!!!

    " His hands were made
    of Italian leather. "

That sticks out to me for some reason. Hmm. Anyway, this is a lovely poem with a hint of sarcasam I think? Great job :) ((5))

Poly Tics.LOL Im so slow, it wasnt until the end when I realized "ohhhh Politics!"

Andrea, what the heck!? I always knew you were creative, thats a given in every poem of yours, but this! Wow, this was different, deep, full of metaphors, that like Hellon said, actually makes one chuckle!!

Seriously was in love with your descriptions and your creativity. You never cease to amaze me woman.

This was so decriptive and with more than one layer..I am going with Hellon on this, I feel it was meant as an ironic verse too.

    Well done!
