Maple

by MyHalozChokinMe   Oct 7, 2012

She is pale maple.
Small, grain-lines throughout.
Hacked, shaped, chiseled,
lying supine, waiting.
His rough, calloused hands
sandpaper her edges,
eroding resistance.
Rounding sharp angles
into gentle curves.
He discerns internal beauty,
refines, polishes uneven surfaces,
exhausting the present and future.
Buffs away perceived imperfections;
Bringing forth love's smooth shine.

~Inspired by something I read, and again, epic fail on where to place this poem~
