Lost Love

by Maybel Dela Cruz   Oct 31, 2012

The leaves of the trees are falling fast
I'm confusingly thinking how long it could last
Broken by the silence of this lonely night,
Wishing you were here to be my light.

Looking somewhere out at the window
My eyes can't see you or even your shadow
Now my heart is in deep sorrow
I lost happiness which I can never barrow.

In the darkness, there comes a rain
I'm out of my mind, waiting in vain
Seems I want to see the sun to shine
But suddenly someone stops the time.

My hope looks like castle in the sand
Washed away by her as you're holding her hand
I'll just wait for time to sweep this moment away
'Cause I know it will barely be a memory someday.
