Holy Grail

This cast iron will breaking under the
pressure of lesser Gods as the mood
falls once again, my bed of solace,
my throne of repent.

Returning to past fragments of
filtered memories, strong with
sultry scent, like a permeated
fog, full of loving faces fading in
and out, until dawn breeds a new
life, just as fragile as the last.

Triumphant beyond dreams,
I found my Holy Grail
upon the face of your
adoration, and my own
self worth, in the light
of love flickering in
your eyes upon mine-

Taking it as a sign to submit
all doubt to the wall of
infinity.

    Anyhow... What I was gunna say to this was ... "You don't do love poems my ass"....

    This is amazing and everything else I was gunna say Ben has said... But he's the "love guru" for love poems so, I'll gracefully step down from my high but noble steed and bow down to thee.

    Your poem deserves its rightful review from the master :)

    Freakin awesome write!!

    Ok, so its no secret im a bit of a lurve poem fan....and this is going into the favs for sure, im sure i dont have to really going into the flow and word choice etc because as always it is epic.....however....when i think of the holy grail..i always think of it being linked to the gods, to the unattainable, to royalty ...to many things and you capture each of those elements within this relativly short (for you) but wonderful piece :-)))

    Also, i like the emotional flow of it.....from strong to weak to strong again with assurance....really this piece is written masterfully xx

    Btw....lol....i love the shape of this poem too...very creative...if i had done it it would have ended up looking like a banana lol just sayin
