Tony, this piece was absolutely amazing, the sadness was so evident that it just touched me deeply and I voted for this piece, because in my opinion it was just amazingly worded, structured and spoke to me from another place and I love it, I just got so into the sadness, it brought tears to my eyes and just touched a chord in me.

You are such a talent, and you did this challenge amazingly!!

Ah... So you'd be the poet behind the poem, no pun intended.lol

When I first saw the title, I thought it is about a man who was in love, but then the person he loved left him (by dying) and now he is left in tears and having difficulty accepting fate due to what they feel as a lack of choice.

    Such beautiful and touching piece!

Ahhhhh, the sadness just strangles my heart! I can feel it, I can feel every word in here. You made me drift away in my own sadness while still reading through your poem.

    This in particular ...

    "Your essence still triggers memories
of yesteryear ,impaled in my heart
are the words haunting my fragile mind
"I will always love you". "
    ^^
    Those lines are my favorite.

    Amazing, really great job Tony.

I'd say the amount of pain is indescribable, to lose your love, your one and only to the reaper. it makes me shiver with fear knowing it could happen at any moment n destroy the only thing i cherish, love.

this is really good, i especially like the first and second stanza.

    Hey, Tony!
The title caught my eyes because I love this term 'bed of roses', and I confess that your language is evolving. Here, it is stronger than all of your old poems. Also, the format, the style, the way you approached your topic. That's a massive change to the better.

    I loved this poem! Hats-Off

    Loved this one T.

    Your essence still triggers memories
of yesteryear ,impaled in my heart
are the words haunting my fragile mind
    "I will always love you".

    - I really liked this stanza, it touched me deep right now because it can be related to someone who has died but also to someone who we loved and they gave us this promise, yet somehow they left and took that promise with them.

    nice job x

I've said it before, I'll say it again-
Something has changed with your writing as of late.

I like the change in language and flow...

The mood of the piece definitely draws me in.

And the part that I relate the most to:

"But my faith is buried under a bed of roses."

I also loved the way you described crying, "anguish in liquid form."

This was a sound piece Tony.
    Well penned, again. =)

This is strangely relevant to me today. Though it might not be about a relationship between you and a significant other, that's what it read to me. It pulls you into a depression and you invite death. But unless it's part of God's will for you to die at that moment, you don't.

Something really reminded me of myself a year or two prior to who I am now.

"I don't hate God , but my faith
    is buried under,
    A bed of roses ."

That was worded just right. Worded enough to punch a hole in my stomach. I like this one as well. It gives you a sinking sensation, a loss of hope from the speaker. Very upsetting. But good.
