Every now and then I remember
I remember that first day when I met you
I couldn't get you out of my mind
Then you came over and said hello
I'd never been so nervous, I think I might have been shaking
Then you leaned in and said

Your arm was around me, I felt so safe
As we danced the whole night....
A few weeks past and I was on top of the world
I fell for you, faster than I should have
You were mine and I was yours
And I still remember that feeling
You became my obsession, my meaning...
But I also remember
How all the calls and texts stopped so suddenly
You said you were busy, didn't have time to talk
Not to me anyway, you had time for everyone else though
I remember how my heart was broken
As I realized then, you didn't love me
Not the way I loved you...
And your somewhere in the world, doing okay...
But I'm here, still loving you...
