Night-Set Star

by Todd   Dec 15, 2012

The glow of the sunrise hides a beauty, and conceals a flare.
A star that is left behind.
I open my eyes and awaken to duty, trying not to stare.
I am sure I am not blind.

For in my mind is my heart and in there I truly see.
I affirm what i feel.
Because my thoughts all play a part. I know you think of me.
I know this is real.

With each step i take i avert my gaze and see my morning star.
Reaching, so heavily handed.
Subconsciously i mark the days to bring near what is far.
Your touch is highly demanded.
