December

by Shattered Glass   Jan 23, 2013

Late December,
My heart gave way.
The moment that I hoped,
Maybe you would stay.

But maybe wasn't the answer,
I allowed this bridge to fall.
A ransomed heart long forgotten,
On broken bones I crawl.

You left me with a reason,
To never believe in fate.
You crushed my soul,
You cursed my heart to hate.

Your memory is forlorn,
My heart an empty shell.
You're my other half forgotten,
To the world forgotten; our tale.
