Beautiful love

Guy looks at girl,
tears run down her cheeks.
they stare at one another,
but not one of them speaks.

She grabs on to his hand,
with a grip so tight.
He gets a good grip too,
and holds on with his might.

"Don't worry", she finally says,
"the ambulance will be here.".
But he just shakes his head,
as he sheds a tear.

But he does not frown,
he begins to smile.
"Let's talk about our memories,
I've still got a good while.".

She nods her head,
as she looks at her hun.
"Which memory to start with?", he said,
Hows about the first one?"

"I saw you in front of the school,
with that beautiful smile.
I ran quickly over to you,
like a goofy child."

"When I came over to you,
what did I say?"
She smiled, "You told me you loved me,
I said 'Go away'.".

"Or remember that day", said he,
"When we both skipped class?".
"Yes", said she,
"We laid down in the grass.".

"We were 18 then,", he said,
"That day had terrible weather.
But I was just happy,
that you and I were together."

"Then I told you I loved you,
and what did you say?"
She laughed as she said,
"I guess that's ok."

"And then we began to date!",
he responded to her again.
"Remember what happened two years later,
way back when?"

"Of course!", she said,
"How can I forget?.
You took me to the beach,
and you looked nervous with sweat."

"I took out a ring,
and what did I say out of the blue?"
She grinned, "I think it's the time, you said,
and asked me to marry you."

"Then I told you I loved you,", he said,
"And then what did you say.?".
She smiled, "I said I will,
and I feel the same way."

"Or remember that day,
When we both danced?
We were so full of love,
as we swayed, hands in hands."

"And then I whispered I loved you,
and what did you say?"
She smiled, "I told you I love you too,
and I love when we sway.".

His hand was turning cold,
she became even more scared.
"It's ok," he said,
"I loved the time we just shared."

"But I can't hold on any longer,
you have to let me go.".
She shook her head and said, "Never!
You're my one and only, you know."

"And why did you do it?", she asked.
"Take the bullet for me?
Was it to leave me all alone here,
in nothing but pain and misery?".

He looked and said "No,
I couldn't let him take my wife.
You are my beautiful love,
and are my whole life."

Those were his last words,
as he closed his eyes.
She just collapsed to the ground,
and looked to the skies.

She thought she'd say one more thing,
and knew exactly what to say.
"Until the Lord brings me back to you,
I will love you each and every day."
