His Love, My End

by Harley   Feb 5, 2013

The night sky glimmered,
The lake water shimmered.
My heartbeat rose more and more,
As I reached his front door.

The night can't save me now,
Nor can the night wolf's howl.
I tried to stay away,
But it was like cows needing hay.

He has my heart and won't let go,
Like a river beginning to flow.
Flowing into the lake,
Waiting for our love to wake.

The love is gone,
But it won't take long.
For him to pull me back in,
With the touch of his skin.

I can't run anymore,
Even though he called me a horror.
His hands around my neck,
Bones starting to crack.

My life fades,
As night turns to day.
I feel no pain,
And for eternity see nothing but rain.
