Don't Want You To Leave

by Michele Clemmons   Feb 11, 2013

As I close my eyes and drift off to sleep.
My heartbeat starts to slow and I begin to dream.
The sun is brightly shining, the air is so clean.
I can smell the wild flowers in the warm summer breeze.
I think to myself...
Is this how heaven feels?
Then I look around and realize...
It's not for real.
If I were in heaven I would feel your warm embrace.
Then I remember how I've been a mental case.
I truly don't want to lose my best friend.
I deeply hope that this amazing relationship will never end.
I honestly hope that you believe...
That I Love You and that I don't want you to ever leave.
