Crossroads

Sometimes I just don't know what to think

I feel as if I am always on the brink

The line you cross just before destruction

That time of internal combustion

The crossroads of yes or no

Not knowing on what road to go

Bearing this heavy load

I don't know who to trust

They all seem to be filled with lust

For only the things the body can give

And not the things that make the heart live

Every so often the walls come down

Their protection becoming unsound

Making way for the thief of the night

Cleverly hidding just out of sight

Barriers that were tried and true

Were removed because of you

Are you different from the mistakes I've made

Will this be as beautiful as Jade

Or are you just another disaster

Waiting to destroy me even faster

They all say there is a man for you

But how can I believe that to be true

When I thought that man was you

Is this just another waste of time

Just another reason for me to scribble this rhyme

I want so much more from you

But there is so much I want to give too

Dont let these horrible feelings be right

Dont let me give up without a fight

So far away you are from me

I hope i am the only one with whom you wish to be

Cuz another heartbreak i couldnt take

Just praying you arent a fake

Youre not something i want to loose
