Something Cherished

by Erin Duke   Mar 12, 2013

I have often seen wishes glittering past,
Fragments of a life filled to the brim with golden light,
Something cherished in the dark night,
And to that life with soft blurring edges,
Like that of a childhood memory,
Your sweet face remains,
Forever enraptured will I be,
Until the sun sets for the final time,
Til the end of it all,
Your love remains with me.
