It would be nice to stop spinning

by Ole Carsten   Mar 17, 2013

I am fun I spin,
Like a top spinning around,
To take a smile from your lips,
Dragging your smile slowly onto my lips.

Children laugh when they see a merry-go-round,
It is spinning as well and it is my merry sister,
Even I am smaller and can drag many smiles,
I can spin faster and faster.

Once I stumbled into a red haired woman,
She was the cutest I have seen,
My lips are painted and I can't speak,
My eyes are glued on me, they smile.

I wanted to tell her play with me, please
Make me happy and hold me,
Take me to your chest, and let me feel
Love in your warm hands, let me cry of joy.

I wanted to say the magic words,
Longed for the feeling of being loved,
Not as a toy, but as a grown up man,
It would be wonderful to stop spinning.

She was the cutes I have seen,

On this line, I think it would sound better if it says "cutest."
