Thoughtful Anguish

by Sammib   Apr 3, 2013

You came to me as if in a dream
I sighed for I had searched for you
Still I sat and questioned rationality
What had brought you to me.
Looking through pages of consciousness
I dissected each facet of my thoughts
No answer to be found it seemed
Just a living beating heart.
I veered away from destined tracks
Just to hear your lucid plans
But I could not hear their whispers
For a moment I was glad.
Now I sit in ponderous state of you
Plunging for the deepest truth
I long to hear your baring soul meet mine
Knowing that I'd be lost.
Mysteriously you turned back
I looked for you, but I couldn't see
Somewhere you had left my hands
Generous pain washed over me.
Come back I cried falling on deaf ears
I realised then you were not mine
Begging your heart to beat with mine
Was truly a pointless task.
