My First Poem

Stare into the moonlight
An oasis of sparkles in the sky
Reflecting off of your eyes
Happy for the first time
In a very long time
Your soul is at peace
You forget life's problems
Not a thought in your mind
Just enjoying the present
Wind blowing so softly
Whispering your name

Others can't understand
Why you're so peaceful now
Why you stopped frowning
When they try to make things hard
Why you started smiling
And now filled with joy

But only you know that you killed your biggest hate
The reason you were feeling down
And not to great
Yeah you finally done it
You're free at last
For your Mother-In-Law
Is in the past
