Twirl Until It Hurts

by RB   Apr 28, 2013

Just dance around a heart,
And never make a home,
Dance to make a game of it,
Dance until you're gone.

Something out of nothing,
When nothing it can be,
Sitting there quietly,
Aiming to please.

Convenience is a sin,
Loving is a lie,
Holding onto something,
That will never come in time.

Paint on a smile,
Fill up your words,
With every empty syllable,
Twirl until it hurts.

Believing is easy,
Believe what you see,
Believe in the past,
But don't believe in me.

Just dance around a heart,
And never make a home,
Dance to make a game of it,
Dance until you're gone.

RB, really liked this. My interpretation is someone trying to live again but not being able to due to past loves hardships.
