Ensnared Feelings

by ChaoticStreamOfLife   May 22, 2013

Ensnared feelings remain, to wait on time.
With grace, I let him fall to another's arms.
Without attempt, I watched him flee.
Why? For what worth am I to keep,
And compete for a man's hazy heart
Containing desires for such, not as I?
Who am I, as timely to captivate him so?
The logic left my will upon his arrival,
And gave yield to all that existed certain.
Drifted from reason, and within he entered,
Evincing my defense to be found pathetic.
And the weakness now illuminates my state.
Alone I am, left to watch him adorn for her.
The rain, my ever hope, brought me him.
For reason, time put us in at random sight,
And the ring of past and lost split in two.
All put into reflection only brings me to him,
With all apprehension set aside
Along with mulish ways...I admit I fell.
Here, I live and wait, lingering lost in time,
With hopes to find his way back to me.
